Dorset

Geologically there are five different Dorset's, meaning this small unspoiled county has a wide range of different sceneries. Chalk hills run from Lulworth to Cranbourne chase. To the North lies the clay vale of Blackmore, the western end of the county is made of up a mixture of limestone and clay with sections of heath lands in between.

On the hilltops there are ancient resonances, the entire county has a wealth of burial mounds from the bronze age and Neolithic age. These have survived because the hilly areas of the county have not been intensively farmed. The Iron age also features at Maiden castle which offer a numerous amount of exciting walks to enjoyed by all.

The south west coast peninsula has a spectacular path the follows the coast right through to Poole harbour with splendid views of cliffs from Studland to Bournemouth.
